T-shirt Memory Quilt – Custom

Do you or your kids have a pile of old t-shirts that have great memories and you don’t want to throw them away? Let me make a custom quilt with those shirts. Great for birthday, Christmas or graduation gifts. Simply send your clean t-shirts. This t-shirt quilt is not quilted but has a knot tied with yarn at the corner of each block.  A prayer is said for you and the quilt recipient with each knot that is tied. The front will consist solely of your shirts. The back is solid anti-pill plush fleece. This makes the quilt soft, warm and easy to care for. It may be gently washed and gently dried.  I do my best to add as much of the shirt that I can and make it as personal as possible. We can discuss these options before you order. The cost is $17.00 per shirt which includes fusible Pellon for the back of each square and the fleece backing.

Once you place your order, you’ll send your shirts to me. I’ll design a layout and get your approval before sewing. I need to cut the squares from front, back, or both sides of your shirts; each a 13″ square. So, you’ll need between 9 and 30 shirts to make this quilt. After sewing, each square is about 12″. The finished size will depend on how many shirts you provide.

Here’s what you need to do.

1. Choose how many shirts you want to use (9, 12, 20 or 30)
2. Choose what color fleece you would like on the back
3. Wash your shirts
4. Label each shirt or bag them together and let me know if you want the front design, back design or both

7. Do not cut your shirts I will do that. I do not work with shirts that have already been cut.
8. Please allow 2-3 weeks for me to make it.
